1. What is China Classification Society Certificate of Type Approval (CCS)?
China Classification Society(CCS) is headquartered in Beijing and it is a full member of the International Association of Classification Societies (lACS). It is a classification society of ships, started in 1956 as a non-profit making body in the People's Republic of China to perform classification survey, certification survey and notarial survey of ships including offshore installations, containers and related industrial products both at home and abroad. CCS also conduct statutory work on behalf of the Chinese Government and other flag administrations.
2. What are the approval standards?
* GD350 and GD880 series frequency converters are compliant with Chapter 3, Part Four of China Classification Society Rules for Classification of See-going Steel Ships 2022 and its Change Notices.
* GD880 water-cooled frequency converters are compliant with Chapter 3, Part Four, and Chapter 15, Part Eight of China Classification Society Rules for Classification of Sea-Going Steel Ships 2023 and its Change Notices.
